As we hear of more and more men and women struggling with pornography or falling into adultery, we must ask ourselves what we can do to help others. Sexual sin is secretly gnawing away at the spiritual lives and marriages of family members and fellow believers. Self-help materials abound, but create an endless cycle of recovery and failure. Behavioral techniques, from “bouncing your eyes” to being held accountable, often fail to reach the life-dominating sin of the heart. Christians today need and want real change.
For over twenty years, Dr. Harry W. Schaumburg, has been ministering to pastors, missionaries, and laity broken by sexual sin and firmly believes that there is a path to freedom and purity and maturity. That path is sexual redemption, which brings meaningful and a lasting change through sexual, relational, and spiritual maturity.
That path is found through a thoroughly proven biblical approach presented in our Biblical Intensive Counseling Workshop. Thousands from across America have come for this intensive counseling program. Finding real and lasting change in their own lives they have often suggested that training in this approach should be offered to others. Now for the first time, Dr. Schaumburg is offering a training seminar for pastors, counselors, elders and laity who are interested in restoring sexual purity within the local church.
Scripture clearly exhorts us to “See to it that no one . . . is sexually immoral” (Heb. 12:15, 16). If we ignore the problem of sexual sin in our midst, we become like the church at Corinth, just spectators of the sins of others. Eventually we will lose touch with reality around us and then fail to restore gently those caught in sexual sin (Gal. 6:1).
